On Friday February 17th, Christina Garcia Frasco, Department of Tourism Secretary, headed the pioneering ceremony of the 10th Tourist Rest Area in Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority. It is set to improve tourist experiences in general, both in terms of foreign and local visitors.
The TRA, DOT’s important project is among the priority programs of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., is a meeting point that travelers from abroad as well as local can make use of to grab tourism site related information as well as activities, attractions, accommodations; report concerns related to safety and security; and get entry to other provisions that are important during their stay at a destination like a spick and span restroom.
Also, it will have charging facilities and a pasalubong center that would help enhance the living of micro, small, and medium enterprises at the same time.
At the time of the ceremony, Frasco got united with Mark Lapid, and Roxas Mayor Dennis Sabando, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority Chief Operating Officer. They all signed a Memorandum of Agreement, formally to build the new tourist facility in Roxas town in the Province of Palawan.
The signing event was witnessed by Edgardo Salvame, Palawan 1st District Representative, and Jose Alvarez, 2nd District Representative, who was province’s erstwhile governor.
The facility will rise in between Coron, El Nido, and San Vicente. These are considered as tourist magnets.
